His style ranges from gritty Minimal Techno to Detroit influenced material is best known by his work on Token Records. With a busy international touring schedule, Ø [Phase]’s music progressively earned more and more worldwide recognition – significantly on 2012′s much acclaimed “Binary Opposition” single and subsequently on his 2013 debut LP ‘Frames of Reference’. We welcome Ø [Phase] back to the Tresor decks! Dutch artist Reynier Hooft van Huijsduijnen is Deniro, producer, DJ and co-founder of Tape Records in Amsterdam. His terrific set in the basement last October is not easily forgotten. Deniro is represented by Voyage Direct, a record label established to represent the wealth of electronic music talent coming out of the Netherlands, and also is associated with Berlin label Trip. Returning artist Stef Mendesidis is a prolific producer, he recently released is a track in a compilation on Ben Sims’ Symbolism Label, and the Cyborg EP on PROJEKTS – 005. In sound production Stef Mendesidis uses a technique of one-take recording, staying loyal to the principle of live techno creation. He possesses a true synesthetic approach transforming his inner feelings, images and ideas into sound patterns. Known for his long-lasting closing sets, Stef can play up to 10 hours in a row and still preserve the maximum interest of a listener. His highly energetic sets are able to immediately make the dancefloor look like it’s midnight prime time. DJ, producer and curator of Hidden Recordings, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched in techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label. While DJing is his calling, his label can also be described as going strong with demand growing through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most: the rare feat of longevity, forty-one releases and counting. Now, Deepak Sharma is fully engaged as a soloist, bursting at the seams with an active imagination, over-flowing with ideas and constantly learning, leading to an ambitious release schedule in the future. In Globus: we are pleased to welcome back Kelli Hand aka K-Hand to the decks, she stands alongside Detroit’s elite, the sort of DJ that has devoted more than two decades to working crowds into techno dance frenzy. Whether it is a lengthy set at Movement Detroit Music Festival, or a headlining gig at a high-profile, Hand knows how to read a crowd and seduce it, one track after another, until she has it at her mercy, and the dance floor dances. K-Hand is also known as the brains and boss behind the long-running Acacia Records Label, one of the city’s most prolific labels throughout the ‘90s into the ‘00s, and to date. Not to mention her legendary album on Tresor Records “Detroit-History Part 1” in 2001. Eric Cloutier has established himself as an influential underground figure purely off the back of his DJ sets. Known to be able to tease and control crowds for extended periods of time without resorting to cheap thrills or lowest common denominator kicks, since first emerging in 1996 the acclaimed native Detroiter has been a resident at some of the most knowing venues around the world. House, dub and techno are all fair game for Cloutier, and be they deep and driving tracks or harder hitting selections, each one bridges the gap between the old and the new in seamless and unpredictable ways. Cloutier’s nature is one of zeal and infatuation towards the warm, dubby, hypnotic house and techno that has come to characterize his sound as well as his masterful ability to bridge the gap between dance music’s past and its future. His talents as a producer have also been growing of late, with the establishment of his own imprint Palinoia, the new home and optimization for Cloutier’s evolving undertakings. Returning artist Kosta Athanassiadis is XDB, whose deep and intensive love for electronic music was his driving force to start a DJ career in 1993. In 2006 XDB founded his own record label „Metrolux“ on which he has released several EPs, creating a reputation for his distinctive sound design.
