Techno can do a lot, if you let it do so: that is Alex Bau‘s credo, and inspired the name of his very intelligent album “Credo” and the very intelligent label Credo. The “Bavarian techno machine” or “Mr. Gringotechno” is literally all over the electronic dance music spectrum, having also started the label “Toneman” back in 2000 and also started to his solo productions for labels like Chris Liebing`s CLR or the Montreal based label “Default Recordings”. Very much the chameleon, Alex Bau has been voted amongst the best DJ`s in Germany more than once. Hans Bouffmyhre is the founder of Sleaze Records that has grown into one of the most respected techno labels in the world. His Secluded moniker productions of deep pounding beats, dubby synth passages and deep soundscapes are another part of this maverick’s profile. This young artist already carries so much experience as a DJ, producer & label manager – the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre. Spanish DJ Dinamite’s set immerses us in a space trip dominated by hypnotic and heavy electronic environments in the same harmonic code, intelligible techno ruled by a musical selection capability only available for accurately and experienced ears; and the fierce techno beats of our resident T.A.G. complete the basement line-up. On the Globus Floor: it’s been a year or so since the self-taught jack of all trades Sven Weisemann manned the decks in our home. He finds his craft somewhere between dubby tech-house and jazz/soundtrack compositions that transcend age and era-defining. As a producer, Sven Weisemann‘s music draws deeply on the legacy of Chicago and Detroit, yet somehow manages to end up sounding as fresh as a daisy – records such as ‘Vibe’ and ‘Slices’ are house music tracks that are half atmosphere and half beats, and not afraid to take its sweet time to lull the floor with their charms. Bookending his welcomed set are our excellent residents Handmade and Magda El Bayoumi.
