Tonight on the Tresor Floor we welcome two artists who have been part of the Tresor family for many years, sustaining enthralling sets on the decks and delivering cutting edge tracks on our house label. The Advent’s earliest releases on Tresor were no less than ground-breaking in their innovative scale, taking techno to almost avant-garde levels and securing his place in techno history while continuing his current relevancy within the genre. With his Kombination Research label The Advent has created a platform for a wide spectrum of artists – we welcome him back in our home. Bill Youngman exploded into the Berlin techno scene at the turn of the millenium and those who have experienced his riveting live set will confirm that it is a mesmerizing adventure in clubbing! BeNi alias SDX is a Suicide Berin resident whose techno/elektro sets have a definite and loyal following. Top support is delivered in the form of a solid HGR set. On the Globus Floor: Benoît Vedrenne aka Ben Vedren is a French musician, producer, DJ and Ableton live teacher. For years now, Ben has been deeply involved in and behind the scenes producing and engineering in partnership with various artists. He has remixed the classic “Bug in the Bassbin” from Carl Craig on Planet E, and beyond his DJ skills, his musician background naturally guides him to perform live – as he will tonight. Alexkid is a House/Techno DJ/producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer, credited as an early protagonist of 90s Parisian underground culture with no less than three critically acclaimed albums on Laurent Garnier’s F Communications. With the inception of his new vinyl-only label Wu- Dubs, Alexkid presents an expressive platform for his own music, as well as music of his friends, focusing on unearthing timeless pieces of music. Patrick Specke is a DJ and producer from Düsseldorf, Germany. His residencies include the Prestige in Essen, the Cologne-based Playground and Düsseldorf`s Harpune. In 2004 he met Marcus Manowski aka Daze Maxim. Their deep personal as also musical understanding of one another peaked in the recent trippy Kahlwild record 003. Sander Baan, born in the Netherlands and now living in Berlin, is known for his long-hour sets. Sander has developed his own unique and versatile blend of sexy, stripped-down house and techno. Co-founding Phonocult Records and sponsoring the Rotate nights in Berlin, he is a popular DJ both on the dancefloor at peak times and at after hours.
