Claudio Porceddu aka Claudio PRC and Andrea Deplano aka Ness are The Gods Planet, an electronic duo project and label from Sardinia, Italy. Persuing deep and darker techno, the pair released their first longlplayer in 2013 “LP1” to critically positive reviews. Later the duo worked for an EP on Leo Anibaldi’s Cannibald Records. UK artist Edit Select returns after his Tresor gig last June and in October 2014 when he celebrated his first album and Prologue debut. With “Phlox” the Scot found a perfectly sequenced electronic album that lies somewhere between techno, drone and ambient, to further the ideals of the Munich label. Track tags like “Dino Sabbatini co-production” and “Bauer Rework” should satisfy and bring to the knees in joy for even the hard-boiled techno connaisseur. Edit Select‘s amazing techno soundscapes are rich in many electronic aspects that could be just as well suited for the big screen as well as the dancefloor. Outis label head Dino Sabatini is also a member of Dasha Rush’s Full Panda roster of artists: also known as part of the duo Modern Heads, 2006/2007 he released may sussessful EPs: “Paper Toys ”, “Ordinary Madness” and “Gliding” are just a few pearls of a style which is now one the most followed and have been inspiring many artists from the international techno scene. His solo productions mark the birth of a new techno concept that leaves no room for labels or definitions. The continual search for new soundscapes and complex rhythms followed by hypnotic sequences and harmonic twists make Dino Sabatini unique in his way of making techno. Behind the Globus decks: Techno Soul & Futuristic Funk! describes Fabrice Lig, inspired by the techno soul of Detroit techno, the spirit of jazz and soul, the groove from funk music & the beats of NY 80’s electro music. All these inspirations together to bring some techno soul and futuristic funk by Fabrice Lig on some cream of the cream international labels. New York-based Tinton has a musical history spanning back to the early 90’s, as co-creator of the seminal techno band Body Release (alongside Todd Sines, Charles Noel and Mike Szewczyk), and on through a multifaceted career as a composer, recording artist, producer, remixer, record label owner and DJ. Titonton Duvante continues to evolve creatively, and as a DJ he is known for blurring the boundaries of electronic music genres, deconstucting, blending and rebuilding beats with his special brand of funky turntablism. He’s brought his extraordinary style to nightclubs around the world. Victor Kiktenko is Module One, a DJ/producer from Russia and head of Relay Publishing. With his Creeptone and Kick10 aliases he has explored many different styles, eventually switching his attention to Detroit influenced Deep House and Techno music. The Globus line-up is complimented by a fine set from our Deep Fried resident Schoppen Wittes.
