Freestyle electronics label Wolfskuil and pure techno label Balans from Nijmegen, both curated by Darko Esser, are represented tonight with a showcase featuring himself as Tripeo and two invited dynamic artists. Darko Esser aka Tripeo returns to our decks after last December’s terrific set and also having celebrated the release of his debut album “Anipintiros” in our home in 2014. Settling on the crossing borders between house & techno, don’t be surprised if he takes a sideway into broken beat, dubstep, electronics or the indescribable. With a discography of over 30 releases, including international clubhits like ‘Paradox’ (Underwater), ‘Catatonic’ (Ovum) and ‘The Return’ on his own Wolfskuil imprint, Darko has established a solid reputation in the producer department ever since his first records came out in 2003. Spanish artist Architectural has carved out his first tracks by cementing a solid base of sonic material made up of pure techno with minimalist touches. Pure concrete straight from Chicago with Detroit ripples and forged of alloys derived from the most genuine Soul. With three EPs under his belt, he has shown a high level of creativity and innovation that leaves no room for doubt. Han Frissen is Doka: taking cues from Kraftwerk and Apex Twin, Surgeon and Regis, he has a tough, ironclad sound that is finished with killer melodies and never fails to make its mark the world’s best clubs. As well as this, Doka also runs his own Amsterdam based event, Konstrukt, that has seen stars like Marcel Dettmann, Oscar Mulero, DVS1 and Donato Dozzy all pop by to do their thing. Downstairs in Tresor: Mike Storm comes from the underground scene of the 072 area in the Netherlands. In the late 90′s he started as a DJ, soon he moved from turntables to his first equipment and started performing live-sets. An analogue artist, he still produces his tracks still without any computer sequencers. His debut album on the label Subsist. We welcome back Swedish artist Staffan Linzatti who can conjure inspiration from what seems to be anything that is constructed with the creative minds of other people. His passion for electronic music is deeply rooted in his perfectionist’s mind. The drive towards obliterating boundaries and developing new forms and structures in sound is not only a way for him to express his creativity, as excellently expressed in his numerous releases notably on Searchlight. The Tresor Floor program is bookended by two of our enfants terribles residents J.C. and HGR.
