The Sweat Lodge feeling returns to the Globus Floor tonight. Label, event promoter and radio show, the collective is an innovative platform for terrific music. John Daly is a DJ and producer from Ireland, and the co-founder of Feel Music. A singular producer all the way, echoes of his “Words” EP from 2007 in his label still resound, with its vastness and film soundtrack feeling that begs for repeat listening. Releasing on plenty of other quality labels, the recent “Everlasting” on Secretsundaze reveals a lush musicality that puts him in a league of his own. Nuno Dos Santos is a Portugal-born Dutch national whose cheeky charm works well in his favor when taking control of the decks. Whether it’s running his own label “Something Happening Somewhere,” producing music, or DJing, you can feel that Nuno is utterly in love with what he does. Nuno fuses different genres and creates a unique style and sound of his own: from deep house to serene techno, old classics to modern gems, Nuno has it covered. Co-owner of the Maeve label, The Drifter is Mark Flynn, an Irish producer, DJ and singer. The Drifter‘s DJ style, like his productions, definitely lean towards the hypnotic, melodic and emotive side of electronic music. He ran the Passion Beat parties in Berlin for over 3 years with his buddy Mano Le Tough, creating a reputation as a DJ that has steadily grown and brought him all over Europe. Berlin artist Aera on Maeve and Innervisions completes the Globus line-up. We welcome returning artists Irakli Kiziria and Yacoub Chakarji aka I/Y who produce “machine sounds for sensible minds”. Described as elegant and warm, the mystery and hypnotic tendencies of I/Y’s set will envelope you. Producing since 2005, she has released on labels such as Blank Code, Flash Recordings, Semantica Records, Minnuendo, D1 Recordings and Detroit Underground Recordings. With an eclectic taste in music, Annie creates music across the electronic spectrum, from tracks that are experimental taking the listener on a more complex journey, to tracks that take you straight to the dance floor. Italian-born and Berlin-based Madalba formed collaboration in 2011 with the crew Femme Fraktale, and more recently has cemented her inspiration for Detroit in May 2013, beginning a working collusion with the Detroit-based crew Detroit Techno Militia.
