CLFT & his Militia are a french webzine, a podcast channel, some transient events, and a vinyl label based in Lyon, and tonight they make their presence the Tresor Floor. In terms of stylistic pluralism, Samuli Kemppi is a key figure. One of his former projects is the label-making of his Filling the gap between hard hitting techno and dark electro, they open a space dedicated to freedom, taking their references in the militant spirit of the early rave scene. The intent is conceivably just as simple as complex: full control, no compromises, anything is possible – and the same is true for Kemppi’s DJ sets. On the Globus Floor: Since 2008 Field Records has kept up the Dutch tradition of publishing deep, Detroit-inspired electronic music with high-class contributions from various international artists. A good foot in the Field door is a wander through their VA series of EPs or 2014’s “Collection” samplers, revealing the full palate of talent. Deadbeat is Scott Monteith, an adopted Montrealer who has been releasing his own special blend of dub laden, minimal electronics since 2000. It’s been 6 months since Deadbeat presented us with his big project “Walls and Dimensions”, his tenth album on Deadbeat‘s label BLKRTZ, and like his last three releases it finds itself in record stores around the planet, where his last two EPs are already available. Whether crafting quirky, not-quite-dancefloor techno, or rumbling digital dub, Scott continually strives to create music that honors the past beyond empty tribute or cultural appropriation, by infusing the digital tools of the present with a little of the magic known as human imperfection. Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Jochem Peteri alias Newworldaquarium was last heard jacking the floor last September. After the scene took notice of the hypnotic tracks of his debut album “The Dead Bears”, DJs like Carl Craig began to play his grooves. In his own words: “”My music is stuck halfway between hiphop and house, or kinda like a home Cyspe, a Dutch artist whose dynamic sonic sculptures are sounds produced by the machines of the future, for inhabitants of a cloud society. Cyspe paints electronic, deep atmospheres inspired by nature, cybernetics and architecture.
