Longtime advocates of sonic terrorism even before banding together as The Advent in 1993, Cisco Ferreira and Colin McBean’s assault on conventional techno flourished in part because of abundant glimpses into related styles, from electro and hip-hop to techno, until later when Cisco persued a solo path. In the late 80s he had several tech sessions Jack Trax Records, working with artists from the label – Derrick May, Fingers Inc, Adonis, Marshall Jefferson, Jazzy M… After a couple 80s solo releases and later as The Advent and as Cisco Ferreira, he released many classic albums of the genre combining the best elements of Techno,House & Electro Music. A decades-long family member of Tresor Club & Records, we welcome him back on the decks tonight. His power set is supported by two of our best techno residents, Ro and TAG. In the Globus line-up is Hinode, the production-duo Matteo Chisari and Mario Resta, who have been releasing music on their own berlin based imprint Science Fiction Recordings. It’s been since last January that they’ve stepped up to the turntables and we welcome them back. Lucas Hunter is Luca Lozano, owner, A+R, artist and designer at Klasse Recordings, ZODIAC44 and Grafiti Tapes. He has released on Optimo, Sex Tags UFO, Unknown to the Unknown, Klasse Wrecks and others, an artist who enjoys Acid House, 1970s Graffiti styles and rooting for the underdog. Claire Morgan is an artist with unreserved passion and love for her craft. Her music ranges from deep excursions in ambient to physical, hard-hitting dancefloor trips with wide-reaching appeal: acid, minimal, broken beat, pounding techno, jack tracks, proper electro and Detroit soul are all fair game. Playing both new records and old, Claire Morgan is a curator who will engage and edify you in equal measure. J. Albert is a NYC producer and DJ with releases on Lovers Rock, Exotic Dance and Black Opal.
