UK techno producer and DJ James Ruskin comes from a background that first put him in touch with hip hop and electro and later with the emerging Detroit techno scenes. This inspired him to become a DJ in 1991 and venture into production with studio-partner Richard Polson by 1994, with whom he founded Blueprint Records in 1996. As Blueprint grew, he delivered his first solo releases and appeared elsewhere as remixer and co-producer, as well as legendary releases on our own Tresor Records. Each time James Ruskin attacks the basement decks of Tresor, we are reminded of the solid thread that ties our ideals and spectrum to this grand techno artist who we welcome back with pleasure. Benjamin Morales is Benales, an avid record collector and enthusiast of Techno and House. His DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, minimal and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. Benales is resident @ 75021 party in Paris and some releases on Sino Records and Knotweed are scheduled for 2016. The excellent techno sounds of Tresor resident Mareena compliment this basement program. In Globus: Lisandro Quezada aka DJ Qu is a New Jersey-based producer, DJ and Strength label boss was referred to as “the dancer’s DJ” in Resident Advisor’s 2009 feature on the US east coast house renaissance, a title honestly earned given his background as a world traveling house dancer and resident at New York’s esteemed HouseDanceConference. He’s been steadily reinforcing that description ever since, with a well-received run of rhythmic, dark, stripped-down productions for his Strength Music imprint. Fred Peterkin is Fred P from the U.S, a New York native to be exact, and he has been releasing some of the gentlest soul infiltrated four-to-the-floor house creations you can get for the last 20 years. Most of the EPs and albums that he produced as Fred P or Black Jazz Consortium have been released via his very own label Soul People Music, which exists since ten years. as Fred P he also dropped 12”s on Jus-Ed’s underground Quality imprint as well as on Toshiya kKawasaki’s Mule Music label. Richard Zepezauer is no stranger to Trespr and his label “n s y d e” is his own personal way of keeping this focus alive. The broad range displayed in his DJ sets testifies of his lifelong passion for music and record digging, and his recent cooperation with various renowned 20th century classics ensembles is a testament of Richard Zepezauer‘s diversity. We also welcome back frequent guest DJ Sarah Miles, co-founder & chief, DJ & live host at Berlin Community Radio, who plays in numerous Berlin underground locations and whose sets surprise and delight with their spectrum of sophistication in dance club mixing – a Globus Floor joy.
