Once again we have the pleasure of welcoming our long-standing friend and Tresor label artist Joey Beltram. A legend in the techno world, his cutting-edge reputation is internationally recognized. For over the last 20+ years, he has recorded on many of the biggest labels: in the early 90’s such as Nu-Groove, Tresor, Warp, Transmat, and R&S records. Much of Joey Beltram’s music during that time is widely acknowledged as groundbreaking. His more recent productions on Harthouse, BUSH, MB Electronic and Drumcode have shown he still has the magic touch in the studio, as well as playing in the most famous clubs and festivals the world over. Who better to pair him with than our own pioneering resident and label artist Pacou, who has produced some of the finest techno in Berlin for the world since the 90s. Backing them with gusto is resident HGR who guarantees a power basement set. On the Globus Floor: In 2006 Amir Alexander created Vanguard Sound! Around late 2008/early 2009 he began recruiting a few close peers: G. Marcell, Hakim Murphy, Dakini9, and DJ Spider. He also invited long time best friend Chris Mitchell to join him in running the label since Chris was with Amir one night back in 1998 when the original idea/concept of Vanguard Sound! first materialized. In the almost 5 years since its inception, Vanguard Sound! has put out several landmark records from the label owners as well as a few compilations and a debut by Guerrilla Soul which is a highly slept-on Deep House Alias project by Amir. Kosta Athanassiadis is XDB, whose deep and intensive love for electronic music was his driving force to start a DJ career in 1993. In 2006 XDB founded his own record label „Metrolux“ on which he has released several EPs, creating a reputation for his distinctive sound design. Evan Baggs is born and bred New Yorker now Berlin-based, and has gained a reputation through his sheer passion, clever track selections and precise mixing. International DJ’s and producers have recognized him as a legitimate up-and-coming talent and we welcome him back after his terrific set last July. Hailing originally from Venice, Laurine is a vibrant member of the Berlin DJ and artist collective Slow Life and definitely promotes its ideals of the love of vinyl. The label is mainly influenced by the Detroit sounds and Afro rhythms, a label in constant mutation, generically open, but committed to experimentation, and of course, deepness. Laurine’s gigs around Berlin are evidence of her tough talent.
