Tresor meets ARTS
Sat 17 January 2015 - 23:59

Alexander Krüger travels the electronic road under many aliases but to many his best known is Tigerskin. As part of the Dirt Crew Recording group, he reared his talented head just after the millennium and hasn’t let up since. With prolific skills as a producer and remixer (as his amazing discography will attest), Tigerskin creates magic behind the decks or, as in tonight’s appearance, in electrifying live sets. His dub angle as Dub Taylor produced many excellent 12”s that are found in most of the world’s top DJs record cases. Among the well-known artists he has produced is Berlin’s own Phonique, a regular Globus DJ over the years, who will appear tonight as well as our frequent guest artist and friend P.Toile and Nikolaos Raptis aka Quell. A diverse DJ playing mid tempo deep house and afro-beat house/techno, to straight up Chicago/SF jackin’ house, Quell’s music is an amalgamation of images, sounds and nostalgia that derive from his perception of a universal “club sound”. Vault Series founder Sawlin injects his power to the basement line-up for the ARTS night, the distinguished label founded by artist Emmanuel from Italy. Based on high techno warehouse music, there are already ten solid releases under the belt and you can expect more. And with the very underground, experimental techno artist Sawlin in the group, high expectations are met. Manchester’s Jorden Hodgetts aka Cleric delivers excellent, spatial techno sounds; and Germany’s Denise Rabe gives us her unique dub touch to the genre and wraps up this terrific Tresor Floor program. Hang on – it’s gonna be a bumpy electronic ride…
