We welcome back Aaron Siegel aka FIT Siegel to the Tresor line-up, the main distributor of house and techno from Detroit, the owner of his label Fit Records and Fit Distribution as well as the leftfield sublabel Est. 83′ Records and Fit Sound merchandise. His unique take on the Motor City sound pulls freely from disco and post punk, to the most alien forms of techno and house music breeding in Detroit today. DJ Sotofett is the Norwegian co-chief of the Sex Tags Mania imperium with a weakness for specially eclectic sets ranging between house, jungle, techno, disco and pretty much every single main and sub-style that the late 60s beat continuum has produced. We welcome DJ Sotofett back to the club, an artist continually creative in the studio, releasing a slew of tracks in the last years, collaborations as well as solo. Complementing this tight line-up is Tanzmichmal boss and terrific house DJ Ron Wilson, driving the Berlin beat into the night. A diverse group of artists in the +4Bar tonight: Originating from the northern Black Forest, F#X is now spending more than half a decade in Hamburg where he found his definite musical home at Golden Pudel Club. There his “Welle Ultra” nights regularly bend borders of electro-acoustic soundscapes evolving into deep tempered rave-scenarios. With his own “999USD” imprint he releases extensive sessions of live electronics and other recordings of processed and amplified acoustics. Since 2011 F#X is collaborating with Helena Hauff as “Black Sites”, with releases on PAN (“Prototype”, 2013 + “Unit 2669”, 2014) and Panzerkreuz (“Panzerkreuz 1029”, 2014). Since 2015 he’s involved in the interdisciplinary electroacoustic project “C” with Nika Son (“Tenno EP” on V I S, September 2016). F#X’s musical work sets its core in the correspondence of machines, shaped by tapes and tubes, fed with algorithmic sequences. Also on the decks is London DJ, producer and NTS host Beatrice Dillon and her unique UK sound. Her Alien Jams’ fourth release with Karen Gwyer set a new standard for the label.  Ari Robey-Lawrence’s release “The Wildnerness Sessions Part 2 – Tales From Caturday” with Oakland producer Eric Douglas Porter together as Old Shady Grady (Eric) & The Neighbourhood Character (Ari), created some international buzz for the three-track gem full of daring, funky to jazzy house beats, slightly left-field and atmospheric, certainly to be prevalent for tonight’s vibe. Ari was chosen to feature as newcomer by Berlin legendary DJ Tama Sumo for Expatriarch’s Generations, an event series in which the radio show handpicks an established artist, who in turn selects their favourite up-and-comer and introduces them to the masses. Without mentioning the mountain of DJs who have been promoting this release, let’s just invite you to discover some excellent new grooves from The Neighbourhood Character and see for yourself. DJ Sarah Miles is co-founder & chief, DJ & live host at Berlin Community Radio, who plays in numerous Berlin underground locations and whose sets surprise and delight with their spectrum of sophistication in dance club mixing.
