Roman Poncet is a maverick French DJ and producer who has been releasing on Len Faki’s Figure label, Deeply Rooted, Tresor Records, Arts and Figure. Roman has many successful releases including Walfisch, DJ Deep & Roman Poncet Present Adventice: Extraction (Tresor.281), Opening Moment and Marguerite. We welcome him back after too long an absence. Berlin-based DJ and producer Oliver Deutschmann has made his mark by running and releasing on the imprints Falkplatz, and Vidab with Stephen Hill, and numerous releases and remixes for the likes of Soma, AIM, or JackOff to name a few. His uncompromising selections range from deep dubby house to big room techno, keeping the pulse on new sounds while always paying respect to the past, which can also be heard in productions on his collaborations with Ed Davenport, or monikers Gowentgone and SubBroomAssosciation. Our excellent resident Mario Berger compliments the basement program. In Globus, Kuniyuki Takahashi is a sound designer and producer who is based and works in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, earning a reputation as one of Japan’s best kept secrets.  He released a mini album which was released on CD and 12INCH from the BASSMENTAL label and in 2001, as KOSS, he released his full-length album out of soundofspeed, and as Kuni he released a12inch EP from Lifeline Records. Fred Peterkin is Fred P from the U.S, a New York native to be exact, and he has been releasing some of the gentlest soul infiltrated four-to-the-floor house creations you can get for the last 20 years. Most of the EPs and albums that he produced as Fred P or Black Jazz Consortium have been released via his very own label Soul People Music, which exists since ten years. as Fred P he also dropped 12”s on Jus-Ed’s underground Quality imprint as well as on Toshiya Kawasaki’s Mule Music label. DJ/producer John Dimas was drawn to the sounds of Chicago, Acid and French House, and honed his skills in his native Thessaloniki. Quickly gaining a reputation for his unique sets using three turntables and his ear for digging out a hot, rare track, naturally the international club invites followed and Dimas’s 2013 debut album proved him to be quite the avant-garde artist. Hailing originally from Venice, Laurine is a vibrant member of the Berlin DJ and artist collective Slow Life and definitely promotes its ideals of the love of vinyl. The label is mainly influenced by the Detroit sounds and Afro rhythms, a label in constant mutation, generically open, but committed to experimentation, and of course, deepness. Laurine’s gigs around Berlin are evidence of her tough talent. Cecilio is co-founder of Slow Life and together as Laurine & Cecilio, they will share the decks in Globus. As their RA profile in 2016 and terrific podcasts reveal, you can expect them in fine form tonight.
