Tresor Meets Arcing Seas
Sat 22 April 2017 - 23:59

Arcing Seas is an anagram of Cassegrain. It started out as a secret alias and after deciding to start a label, it finally made sense to bring the two together. Cassegrain is a Berlin-based techno DJ & producer duo, composed of British/Greek Alex Tsiridis & Berlin/Vienna Hüseyin Evirgren. They are known for their melting aesthetic of raw-deep techno with UK accents and also for their intricate, hardware based live sets which they have performed at top worldwide festivals and venues. In 2014 they released their debut album and in 2016 the pair finally created Arcing Seas. Marc Trauner aka The Mover is a Frankfurt DJ who Tresor fans know from his full-length vinyl on our label, 2002’s “Frontal Frustration”. He was also co-founder of record label Planet Core Productions and the hardcore techno production team with the same name, better known as PCP. The rave giant returns to the Tresor decks tonight. Guy Brewer is Shifted, a UK producer, co-founder of the Avian label and formally part of drum n bass duo Commix. Berlin-based, fans had an exceptional experience of his Techno/Industrial/Experimental artistry during the 2015 Atonal Festival. Also on the Globus decks is returning artist Berlin DJ and producer Alexis., who holds residencies in Berlin and in Cyprus. Get upstairs in Globus: Cab Drivers is the duo project of Berlin artists Daniel Paul & Jens Augustowsky aka Sky. In 1994 they founded Cabinet Records and with that they became among the first to forge a new aesthetic in house music, made of chasing, advanced 909 programming, clean, minimalist sound design and subtle lines of funk and latin melodies. Cab Drivers’ very infectious and engaging sound has been reflected on innumerous Cabinet releases and on other respected labels. Alexandre Gouyette aka Brawther is the man behind record label and production partnership Dungeon Meat, a like-minded collaboration with Tristan da Cunha. Raised on house, his sound varies from pad-laced daydreams to tough edged 4/4 beats, always displaying such true school ideals that it wasn’t long before he became a close friend and protégé of US pioneer Chez Damier. The incredible house producer Brawther has been the brains behind modern-day house classics including ‘Le Voyage’ and ‘Endless (Ultra Deep Mix)’. Woody is no less than a Berlin club legend. The original sonic funkateer whose life is completely focused on music and his very own definition of funk, his Munich breakdance-scene beginnings lead the way to Berlin in the 90s, and residencies in the historic club E-Werk, spinning ravers into a frenzy with his unique techno funk. With his own label Fumakilla under his wing, Woody has become one of Germany’s most respected DJs. Cabinet Records artist Phazer from Berlin also joins this killer program.
