Tresor Meets Dangerous Drums
Sat 30 May 2015 - 23:59

If you’ve never been to one of the Dangerous Drums parties in our home, then it’s high time you get on the good foot and step into some Tresor basement dancing of the finest. Party host ED2000 always has the most exciting invited guests, for example UK artist Jack Gibbons aka Ipman, whose track “Ghostrunner” found itself on the acclaimed Pinch B2B Mumdance mix CD in 2014. With regular power DJs Skratch, DJ Vela and Rollin’ Thunder, brace yourself for a kickin’ night. On the Globus Floor, Antaeus Lando Roy aks Lando‘s strains of classic house, techno, acid, and electro are the stuff of club heaven. Lando filters his disparate influences through a distinct lens, one that favors pulsing basslines, trippy melodies, and machine-made funk that carries over into his DJ sets. Now he’s started up his own label, Myth Music, alongside fellow Berlin expat (B)Aaron Castle, all the while playing in top clubs in the capital and across the country. Baron Castle is an Australian DJ based in Berlin. Cutting his teeth on the mid-90s rave scene in Sydney, his relocation to the German capital in 2011 has seen him prevail in multifaceted fashion. By day, backstage crew for Boiler Room, by night, impresario of the popular White Tiles events and lynchpin of Berlin’s DJ circuit, Castle has become a regular on A-list line-ups at premier clubs. His unique style borders on the dubbier side of techno and house, with driving rhythms for late nights in Berlin, and still retaining a sense of melody and funk. Rounding out this turntable program is Fabian Bruhn, DJ and manager of Aniara Recordings from Gothenburg, Sweden.
