Tresor Meets Deep in the Box
Fri 16 September 2016 - 23:59

Deep In The Box is a whole night of warm, kicking house and deep techno, hosted by Barbara Preisinger since 2009. The Slices Of Life label owner’s passion is to play for the dancefloor, mixing kicking house and deep techno all the while remaining open towards interesting and outstanding tunes that make you move. Manning the decks herself with her signature style, Barbara Preisinger welcomes three invited guests: In Dana Ruh’s early years her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label Brouqade Records, which she set together with her friend Ann in 2007 and joined by (Anthea also joined the imprint collective in 2012). Producing a deeper, more smoky house and techno sound, Dana has become one of the family members at Jus Ed’s lauded New Jersey label Underground Quality, where she released her stunning debut album ‘Naturally’. Commanding the decks in top Berlin clubs, she lays down seductive tracks from the worlds of house and techno as well as gems in between, as she does when on tour round world, hitting up clubs and festivals everywhere from the UK to the USA, Romania to Russia. Over the past four years, Oshana has earned quite a reputation. In just a short time, Oshana has composed a style that is both unique and complex, a product of expansive atmosphere, embryonic bass, and infectious percussion and rhythm. Armed with an intrinsic passion for making music, Oshana continues to strive towards the forefront of innovative dance music.  Japanese DJ Masda is the founder of Cabaret Recordings. Via his diverse, flawless track selection and precise mixing that integrates best bits from the old to the new, it’s easy to see why he is respected as one of the finest selectors in the Japanese underground scene – if you catch him playing or his highly-rated podcast mixes for ResidentAdvisor / Technique Tokyo / Undersound. He launched Cabaret Recordings imprint with So Inagawa to set a platform for showcasing his twisted but authentic view on house and techno, as well as spearheading A&R operations for Tokyo’s Energy Flash Distribution. On the Tresor Floor, Sleeparchive returns for a signature live set. One of the most innovative artists in Berlin techno, Sleeparchive, is a sort of post-90s electronic diety with a penchant for the future. Joining the Tresor label in 2011 with “Ronan Point” (Tresor.243) and on to “A Man Dies On The Street” Pts. 1 & 2 (Tresor.260/264), Sleeparchive’s music is just as hazy, deep and full of shady nuances that, like treasure, only appear if you’re willing to keep probing. UVB is the pseudonym of the French DJ and producer Sébastien Michel. He started his DJ project in his home city, Marseille, playing in underground places and delivering his own vision of Techno Music. His first EP was released on the Rotterdam based label MORD Records in June 2014. UVB’s sound combines energetics tones with intricate rhythms, and always focuses on a true rave feeling by its functionality and its rawness. Returning guest artist Marcos Leiras aka Leiras is a persistent DJ, producer and live performer settled in Berlin. After releasing music under several aliases and different labels around the world, he plays now as Leiras and created the Ownlife platform, a new project, focused on the mental and hypnotic side of techno. Our basement techno resident Mischa returns for expansive support.
