Again hosting the monthly E-MAN-CI-PATE night in Globus are resident house music legends Tyree Cooper and Bobby Starrr, who introduce a top guest in the house music vein each and every time. Tonight our distinguished hosts provide us with TWO invited guests. Mandel Turner drew his inspiration from the early Paradise Garage years in NY, eventually leaving the mecca for Paris and creating a name for himself in the French capital as “The voice of New York-style garage music in Paris”. Among other projects, for the last 8 years Mandel has been on tour with Cerrone as an MC, lead singer and background singer from 2003 to the present. Born and raised in the birthplace of house music, Paul Johnson has released a vast amount of music for some of the most consistently underground dance labels before hooking up with Peacefrog Records. 12″ releases on the likes of Cajual Records / Relief Records and Dance Mania led to his debut album release “Bump Talkin'” in 1996. This and the follow up “Feel The Music” became two of the most talked about releases of their time. His remix work for Stacy Kidd, Joey Beltram, Green Velvet, Armando, Ce Ce Peniston, Ron Trent, K-Alexi, and Steve Poindexter made its way into all the big jocks boxes, many of which remain there to this day. Tonight’s NEXT installment welcomes Spanish DJ Unam Zetineb aka UZB, who releases on Hans Bouffmyhre’s Sleaze, Dustin Zahn’s Enemy and Joachim Spieth’s Affin, therefore highly regarded – not to mention CRS and Fluxus! Croatian-born Man From The Lab finally debuted in December of 2012. His three decks sets are characterized by precise and technically demanding transitions. Has had monthly residencies in one of the best underground clubs in the region and wider, ‘Machine Whisper’s’ legendary DHC3. Boston USA artist Soren Jahan aka Mechaniker recently released a grooving, indulging and fluid 4×4 transmissions 12” on Supply Records: four cuts, two tracks per side, each one raw and righteously jacking in its own respect. For the past-midnight stragglers on the floor, early hours material… Madrid underground DJ Dinamite is characterized for her dark and forceful beats with retro touch, sets where she combines styles, dynamic and groove – listenable to the very end for sure.
