E-MAN-CI-PATE, the monthly house music party with and hosted by the legendary Tyree Cooper with Bobby Starrr, turns the +4Bar into a dance playground for a night of qualitative, upstanding house music, and as with each succeeding party, a very special guest is hotly awaited. Entertaining each segment with an international artist, the mood is hot, adult and for house music lovers. Tonight they welcome back Chicago legend Boo Williams. An intregal part of the scene since the early 1980s, his southside connections brought him to outstanding productions and remixes starting in the 1990s. Following the footsteps of Chicago greats like Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson and Lil Louis, his recordings for labels like Peacefrog, Cajual, Relief, Rush Hour, Boo Williams has left an enormous legacy. For those who have religiously followed Boo over the many years, he continues to deliver as promised, once again bringing the driving beats and textured etherial soundscapes as you’d expect from the master‘. The Jaydes is a live act based in Berlin, compromised of two friends and studio partners Bloody Mary & Attan, making modern music with dated technology – using vintage analog gear. Their 2014 LP “The Jaydes” is a nine-track journey through the history of house and techno, informed by the duo’s experiences growing up in those scenes during the ’80’s and ’90’s. Their “Area 89” also from 2014 was produced by Boo Williams himself. Tight music, tight beat and tight friends, that is what to expect from The Jaydes. Creator of the Affin label Joachim Spieth is a true passionate techno player, having left his mark on fans in Europe and internationally with his distinctive electronic expression – and this for the last fifteen years, whether hosting a regular radio show on Proton and label nights at clubs across Europe. Monomood is difficult to categorize. Techno? House? Drum and Bass? Or maybe Dubstep? What about a quantum Funk or Ambient? Well, actually, it’s always a bit of everything – but it’s always new and fresh. A live act of genuine quality. After dwelling on the Drum and Bass station for a while, it is most accurate to say Monomood has taken off into the future: the wide cosmos of dubby Techno sounds. His vinyl debut on Etui Records, carries us into the complex world of echoed chords and spacy delays. Anders Hellberg is a Berlin-based producer/DJ from south Sweden who has produced electronic music since in 1998. He is a highly skilled producer and he loves to work with analogue gear and play live sets direct from the machines. The tracks are solid and bass heavy techno with a straight and pulsating rhythm. Anders‘s works are focused on a driving intensity, raw and deep grooves and droning varieties. Avion‘s passion for electronica brought him to Berlin and started intensively developing his producing skills and setting up his studio. It was only a question of time to implement his future plans with Iaunching his own label “Crossing“. With Crossing Avion established his own platform for floor orientated electronic music and got the possibility working together with other very talented national and international artists.
