Tresor Meets Finale Sessions
Sat 07 November 2015 - 23:59

On the Tresor Floor we welcome back Svreca and J.C. The Madrid-born DJ Svreca combines the coolest and most sophisticated electronica with the most abstract and complex techno, and sometimes his experimentation leads him towards the most unusual textures and rhythms for the dancefloor. Jose Cabrera aka J.C. from Spain, debuting in Tresor on one of the Echoes nights, expresses a style of simple, raw, stripped down and hypnotic techno is honed for the basement sensibilities – just a reflection of his influences. In 2012, he started the AHD label together with his friend Damian Schwartz, releasing records of the likes of Fred P, DJ F, Marcos Cabral and Epiphany, and he produced his first EP for the Argentinian label Greener Records in the beginning of 2013. In November 2013, J.C.‘s “Endurance” EP on Deeply Rooted garnered great feedback among the techno community, leading him to do a VA on Tresor together with Zadig and Acronym. Johan Påhlman & Niclas Stanik are Fulast from Sweden, recording on Fonografiska (where they got a general thumbs up from their debut EP “Hålla Låda”), Power Plant Records and Trolldans labels, making the underground rounds in the capitol and now setting up camp on the Tresor decks. In Globus the return of Final Sessions: the Finale Sessions label belongs to Chez Damiers’ network Balance Alliance. In clan-like fashion the unit has been churning out contemporary deep future soul updates in the USA since 2010. This has often been phenomenally successful as in the case of label chief Michael Zucker‘s release of Fred P’s “Emotive Vibrations”, one of the biggest deep house tracks of our time and a plus for the label. We welcome back Norm Talley, one of the artists clearly responsible for the survival of deep house into the new century during a time (remember?) when minimal techno dominated. Kosta Athanassiadis is XDB, a deep and intensive love for electronic music was his driving force to start a DJ career in 1993. In 2006 he founded his own record label „Metrolux“ on which he has released several EPs, creating a reputation for his distinctive sound design. Ka One & St-Sene are two deep house and deep techno producers based in Paris, and also owners of Flyance Records. After many years of crate digging, DJing, and radio activism, Ka One and St-Sene formed a duo and started to created their own sound. The act’s leitmotiv is atmospheric vibes between acid, house and deep techno. They view their music as a reflection and an impression of the city margins. And with Final Sessions label owner Michael Zucker also behind the decks, this label night is a winner from all sides.
