Tresor Meets Holic Trax
Fri 19 June 2015 - 23:59

To any serious house music lover, Rick Wade definitely belongs to the Olymp of DJs who have pushed the genre of house music forward. Since the 80s he has been spinning his distinguished sets, building his own studio forming his own label Harmonie Park in 1993. Wade has released his textured brand of house not only on his own label but also on the likes of Trackmode, Moods and Grooves, ATC, M3, Elevate, Chord 44/Container, and Out Of The Box. Kostas Tassopoulos aka Ekkohaus has been involved in various forms of music production since the early ninetees. He produces and perfoms as a DJ or live act (as is the case tonight) since 2005. His live sets are a unique experience with great moments for the dance floor but also for the mind, lingering between house and techno, deep, shuffly, sometimes jazzy, with serious sample dropping  – just plain sensual. Nightdrivers is a project born in Berlin from the studio partnership between Mass Prod and Rufus. Two friends, two strong musical characters complementing each other, Nightdrivers published their first track, “Quanto Tempo Ci Rimane” (Fabio’s Consolation edit), in early summer 2013 on the Bosconi Stallions compilation series of 12-inches, where adventurous night visions meet garage-house classicism. The rare breed that is Tomoki Tamura started his journey with dance music in Japan and has come a long way since. A move to London in 2004 inaugurated a series of Holic nights that would eventually lead him to rock the floors of top London venues including Fabric, Ministry of Sound, and Plastic People. Quickly growing to become a staple night in London’s nightlife, HOLIC continued to flourish as it brought a fresh selection of quality house and techno DJs to the capital. While the party bubbled in London, it also earned permanent residency at one of Japan’s most respected clubs, Womb in Tokyo. Although proving to be a credible producer, label owner, and promoter, Tomoki Tamura knows his records the most and is a DJ above all, now based in Berlin. In the basement Tresor Floor, techno DJ and producer Dustin Zahn is based in Minneapolis, US. He is co-founder of Abiotic Recordings and Enemy Records and internationally known for his trademark powerful and dark techno sound since his 1998 beginnings. Weaving through various genres which creates a unique, hypnotic vibe, his live set is a thrill to be sure. Sleaze Records founder Hans Bouffmyhre is also known by his Secluded moniker productions of deep pounding beats, dubby synth passages and deep soundscapes are another part of this maverick’s profile. At only 25 years old and already with so much experience as a DJ, producer & label manager, the future looks bright for him. Unbalance is a Russian DJ influenced by the Berlin and British techno scene. During his DJing and producing he began to experiment with his own sound, combining the emotional and simultaneously technological vibe of the deep underground techno into his own style and tracks. In his DJ/live sets Unbalance always stays loyal to his deep and pulsating sound, plunging into a hypnotic dance-floor euphoria. Sebastian Bayne is a DJ, producer and label owner based in Sydney Australia. His music is fast gaining the support of this peers as it is developing into his unique take on techno, as well as taking the reins of IF? label in 2010.
