Tresor Meets Mo's Ferry
Sat 23 May 2015 - 23:59

The music of Mo’s Ferry Prod. can be perfectly described by the words of a well-respected colleague: “Mo’s Ferry releases are uncomfortable, dodgy, angular, groany and self-contained – to this day. No going back to the big ingredient range of the last 15 years of techno and house, no electro thingumbob, and of course no whatsoever clash” (Mo’s Ferry artist Mathias Schaffhaeuser). Once again label owner Niklas Worgt aka Dapayk – the man behind those infectious, groovy, edgy sounds – invites a roster of prominent guests. The Berlin maverick has one intention tonight: presenting you a top-notch live set and putting Paris/Berlin into the groove. Chloé we remember very well after her splendid Tresor debut in February 2012. You may also know her killer cuts on My Favorite Robot, Live at Robert Johnson,Throne of Blood, Karat records, Kill The DJ, Bpitch Control, or her residency at Paris’ Rex Club. Her LP releases ‘The Waiting Room’ from 2007 and ‘One And Other’ 2010 were veritable gems on the electronic landscape. From Karaoke to Stardom is Jeremy Herpe, 32 year-old French producer. His first EP was released in April 2006 on Rrygular, later that year came a few other ones, including his first EP on Apnea, Loopism Opossum, joining the Net28 family. An artist of sound design, textures and intricate rhythms. Marcel Knopf‘s long-established relationship with Mo’s Ferry set the ground for his development of the Clap your Hands label. His DJ sets cover a wide range of music and reflect his preferences for dub, house, broken beats and techno. Fresh, different but always floor-orientated. And young Mo’s Ferry DJ Alexander Lorz can be heard literally all over the German capital and tonight we welcome him on our Globus decks. On the Tresor Floor: from Scotland, Gary Beck is regarded as one of the most prolific and inventive DJs and producers in the current electronic music scene. As a regular fixture at the world’s top clubs and festivals, Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre’s leading labels, institutions such as Drumcode, Cocoon and Saved as well as his own BEK Audio. collaborations with similarly exceptional talents such as Green Velvet, Mark Broom and Speedy J. 2012 saw the release of his seminal debut album ‘Bring a Friend’ on the legendary Soma Records label. Joining is Madrid’s most underground and now Berlin-based DJane Dinamite, known for her dark and forceful beats with retro touch, where she combines styles, dynamic and groove into her own blend of electro-techno in the mix; and the forceful, driving techno of our terrific basement resident Ro.
