Tresor Meets Nation E.E.1
Sat 25 April 2015 - 23:59

Not content to be labeled as merely a DJ, a producer, or even a DJ/Producer, Traxx is a self-described “artist of sound.” Releasing a series of mysterious EPs until his 2009 full-length “Fath”, Traxx has closely collaborated with Hell’s Gigolo (under the collective alias The Dirty Criminals), Green Velvet, Legowelt, Mount Sims and many more, as well as starting his own label Nation in April of 2007 which has allowed him to develop and re-contextualize the various aspects of his sound. Seamless transitions with a passion for music, his sound recalls the past but pushes for the future with an overtly emotional and experimental approach. From Cologne, Germany, Andreas Gehm aka Elec Pt. 1 indeed has quite a few monikers but the name of the game is a wide spectrum of styles anywhere from acid to jackin’ old school Chicago house to Detroit techno with a touch of electro – all live for you tonight. Brooklynite Jason Letkiewicz aka Steve Summers is about many things but his aboutness in the house range tells of many stories, revealing ultra modern, spacious, mysterious and hypnotic sounds for an amazing dancefloor experience. The mysterious ladylike lifeform known as Alienata has dedicated herself to learning & analyzing sound in all of its forms as well as joining forces on Traxx’s label Nation. Moving through Spain, Italy and Montreal, Alienata makes her home in Berlin for now. The Tresor basement walls usher in another giant in the Tresor Records family: The Advent is a techno force to be reckoned with. Longtime advocates of sonic terrorism even before banding together as the Advent in 1993, Cisco Ferreira and Colin McBean’s assault on conventional techno flourished in part because of abundant glimpses into related styles, from electro and hip-hop to techno. Since going solo, The Advent has released a series of albums, remixes & EP’s that have combined the best elements of techno, house & electro music, collaborating with some of the most famous techno artists on the planet. Berlin:Detroit – The Techno Alliance. The capitals united stroblight/fog as the Detroit Techno Militia is again in Tresor. Spearheaded by DTM 2X4 which denotes the four turntables-armed performance ensemble DJ Seoul and T.Linder, Tresor fans haven’t forgotten their sensational appearance in Tresor last October, and downstairs they will again light the 313 torch in the spiritually connected home of techno and electro styles. And we give the support reins to the very capable and dynamite Tresor resident T.A.G.
