Established in 2001, “Non” is the dance imperative incarnation for high-end tool techno. Raw analogous sounds for the underground with no regret, created and programed by Manuel Anós aka Psyk aka Maan, who will man the decks with invited guests tonight. The label can currently look back on thirteen releases, including two albums and a large number of remixes of an illustrious garde of international techno producers who have harnessed the tracks of mostly Spanish artists. Tadeo has been experimenting, investigating and developing his sound on the dancefloors and in the studio, and now he is an established DJ and producer, label manager of Cyclical Tracks, NET28 founder, and member of the most interesting label family from Spain: CMYKmusik, Apnea and Mupa. Tonight delivering a live set for the Non Series label night, Tadeo continues constructing imaginative and impossible sets, going from minimal to techno – and viceversa – with superb skills. At the label rendezvous tonight we also feature Semantica’s Aiken plus the Berliner Non-outpost and Tresor regular Savas Pascalidis behind the decks. On the Globus decks we welcome Detroit history: to most electronic music aficionados, Detroit native Kenny Larkin is a man who needs no introduction. His impressive 20-year history of creating arguably some of the most timeless, soulful techno ever created, is unquestionable. The building blocks of his signature sound are rooted in his early exposure to jazz, funk, and soul, in addition to other more electronic influences. These styles all serve as the backbone of his unique style. This was a key component in the formation of the second wave of Detroit Techno, alongside artists such as Carl Craig. Kenny Larkin’s small, but impressive catalog of work of over the years, all displays his ability to chisel out of the often cold hard machines, his own sound that is all heart and soul. Quite simply, this is electronic soul music. With first-rate support from Berlin DJ Kris and Tresor Club house resident Handmade.
