Tonight we welcome back our friends at Restoration whose raw, hardware-driven Italian house duo Xenogears’ “Lost Artemis” longplayer was a 2014 killer. Restoration founders Marieu and Lucretio (you may know them by their alias Analogue Cops, as they have often appeared in our home) give it up tonight again as Xenogears with a live set of their signature mix of tough techno – with thrilling loops, funky bits and even breakbeat infused – for the modern listener and the futuristic seeker. Ngly is a returning artist who provides a live set in Tresor tonight, and the divulging dynamic sounds from his terrific set last year are difficult to describe yet carry such diversity as to create quite a unique universe somewhere between house and techno. Based in Berlin with an underground tendency, this is evident on recent releases on CCCP and the outstanding L.I.E.S. recordings. Also returning is DJ Sotofett, the Norwegian co-chief of the Sex Tags Mania imperium with a weakness for specially eclectic sets ranging between house, jungle, techno, disco and pretty much every single main and sub-style that the late 60s beat continuum has produced. Techno DJ Borut from Croatia also returns to the decks tonight. In Globus, the Hamburg DJ Christopher Rau has recently been in the news following his new collaboration with Xenogears’ Marieu, the duo going by the name ‘Colors Of Observation’. With their debut EP ‘Sidewalk Romeos’ just released, Christopher takes a solo break tonight for a DJ set. Leif is a UK-based DJ and producer releasing music since 2003 and also co-runs The UntilMyHeartStops label, as well as being a resident DJ at Freerotation events in the UK. Tonight he plays a B2B set together London artist Ben Micklewright aka BLM, whose set in our house last year revealed surprising hypnotic or tension-building sets – the two of them should deliver ferociously. We also welcome back frequent guest Alex Barroso aka Alex Cliché, whose delicious house sets are well known to our many frequent clubbers.
