Tresor Meets Sistrum
Sat 12 November 2016 - 23:59

Sistrum Recordings is a deep house label from Detroit run by Patrice Scott, one of Detroit’s top producers of deep house and techno music and a frequent guest in our home. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. Patrice Scott has a fascination and desire to be anything but the norm. Over the years he has focused more and more on his studio production skills and his label Sistrum, which celebrates it’s 10th anniversary this year, and a fitting party in Globus tonight. Invited guests: Edward McKeithen aka Jus-Ed, is a DJ, producer and since 2004 Underground Quality label owner. A voyage into the world of DJ Jus-Ed reveals an adventurous, energetic and spiritual style of playing quality house music. Along with his MC skills he brings the club, dance floor, and people into a unforgettable night! As well as touring to international venues, he has 48 vinyl releases, 4-CD albums and over 10 remixes for other labels. Originally from Dublin and now Madrid-based, talented DJ Paul Smith aka Leonid has released some of the deepest, dreamiest and most well produced Detroit-influenced house music around, with stellar releases on Sistrum and Statik Entertainment, which have appeared in podcasts and mixes all over the place. Downstairs through the tunnel, the Tresor Floor welcomes back Cassegrain, a Berlin-based techno DJ & producer duo, composed of British/Greek Alex Tsiridis & Berlin/Vienna Hüseyin Evirgren. They are known for their melting aesthetic of raw-deep techno with UK accents and also for their intricate, hardware based live sets which they have performed at top worldwide festivals and venues. In 2014 they released their debut album and in 2016 the pair finally created a label, Arcing Seas, an anagram of Cassegrain. Also on the decks: YYYY is a mysterious duo from Argentina with little personal information, but their music speaks for itself. Strange textures, industrial sounds, lost voices in the background, and an intensely hypnotic groove. Hailing from Berlin, Glós’ music is known for connecting ‘yesterday’ and ‘tomorrow’ without leaving ‘today’ aside. Slowly pulsating, his music takes off as if resounding from a distance. It seems as if you’ve already left the club behind while the vibrant rhythms still linger in your mind. It’s the resurrection of a long gone sound whose echo is still alive on the streets, haunting you. Dinamite is Berlin-based, traces her trajectory fifteen years ago, placing in one of the most influential club stages in the Spanish capital; Madrid’s underground scene, one of the main platforms enhanced and developed the spectrum sound of Dinamite since her inception. She is a regular guest DJ in Tresor, always pleasing with her hypnotic and intelligible techno.
