Tresor New Faces
Wed 13 February 2019 - 23:59

Born deep in rural Poland, Polanski‘s music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. He confirmed this by playing such great events as KAOS London, Champ Libre and more recently Gegen. Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey – a sonic walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive more than the musical genres themselves that seals the journey together. Constantly shifting his sound, Polanski has evolved over the last 19 years as a DJ. His ever-developing style and production techniques have given a new dimension to his sound. 2013 saw the birth of BLANC – a forward-thinking electronic dance night, it redefines the format of clubbing by stripping down elements of a show, concentrating on situating the DJ on the dance floor. The music and the audience take control of the room. Currently hosted at Electrowerkz, the night has created a perfect platform to showcase up-and-coming local and international talent, as well as Polanski himself, often road-testing his own music and experimenting with new DJing techniques. Mar/us has always been fascinated by the harmonic sounds and eager to manipulate them. After experimenting various musical scenes, which will led him to climb in the consoles of the most important parties and clubs in Rome and throughout Italy, like Forte Prenestino which represents the underground temple in Rome, those sound and noise obsession will make him embrace the underground and queer reality which will guide him straight to Berlin. Internationally Mar/us is collaborating with various Berlin events and other European parties. Hosted tonight by our excellent resident Esther Duijn who will provide a powerful techno set of her own.
