Tresor New Faces
Wed 09 October 2019 - 23:59

Andrea Greco, aka Burden, is an Italian born, London based DJ and producer. Over the years his sound has emerged as increasingly dark and industrial; energised with driving basslines, shadowy atmosphere, and hypnotic leads. Burden was soon contributing to the rave scene playing parties such as Aria, Superstition, Corner, HTBX, Dazed and Confused, 000011010 Collective, Wachtraum… As well as renowned warehouses and clubs such as Fold, Bloc, Electrowerks, The Cause, 93 Feed East, and Egg. Currently, Burden is one of the resident DJs of ARIA. At the beginning of 2018, together with DLTN and a group of friends, Burden started his record label ‘Aurea Records’, where he continues to release his music and collaborate with many diverse artists. Copenhagen’s Ezy and DJ Tool (co-organizer and resident DJ of Mala Junta in Berlin) are new artists of Fast Forward Productions formed in December 2015 as a new take on DIY rave culture, playing back-to-back tonight. Co-founder and resident at the Copenhagen underground rave party Endurance, Ezy is a techno DJ, producer and a time-served mainstay on the floor as well as in Copenhagen’s alternative music underground. Ezy is one of many artists on the city’s fast techno scene with a history in the punk scene, and has quickly built a reputation for delivering tight vinyl sets mixing fast old-school techno, with everything from low key 90s goa and psytrance to ghetto tech and electro. His style is percussive and energetic, skillfully shifting from funky and agile to gloomy and trippy and back. With his roots deep in the Copenhagen DIY music scene Joachim Palsby, aka DJ TOOL, has been playing and collecting different music for more than a decade. After many years of playing punk, metal and electronic noise music, he slowly developed an interest in techno and trance. For years he has been roaming the international dance floors as a loyal dancer, and ended up behind the booth with the skills of all vinyl Djing. DJ TOOL is a classic example of a DJ that merges directly from the floor to the booth. His sets are an authentic and always well executed blend of sexy techno and gloomy trance. The sound is old-school, hard and fast but always funky and uplifting. Tonight’s new faces artists are hosted by Netherlands-born Tresor resident Esther Duijn, whose sound is characterised by the deep and solid side of techno and house music. Having released on labels like Fred P’s Soul People Music, German Housewax and Portuguese Exquisite Music, solo and also with her long-time production partner Steady Douglas as “Duijn & Douglas”, Duijn has shown her skill as a producer and a DJ, with over 20 (vinyl) releases under her belt. Esther’s running a label, podcast series & event called “Another Earth”, inviting various international well-known artists.  Esther loves to mix the old, the new, the rare, the deep and the raw parts of electronic dance music to brilliant effect, never compromising on the groove. She maintains a steady flow while staying true to the roots of Chicago house and Detroit techno.
