Tresor New Faces
Wed 27 November 2019 - 23:59

Hailing from the industrial atmosphere of northern France and Belgian club culture, Jiman came across Techno from its rawest side. Obsessively focused on sound design, Jiman shaped his aesthetics around complex constructions, dubby textures and melancholic grooves. After few digital releases, his material was out on vinyl on Singular records directed by Marcelus, french Synchrophone’s sublabel Nowhere, Forsaken cell and Mize Records. Since 2017 Jiman manages with 3 friends Pærer Records, a French label focusing on the experimental faces of techno. JJ Mejlak aka Kontal is a DJ from Malta. His hypnotic techno is creatively expressed being part of the kollektiv on the Revolt label, on which he released the first tracks in 2017. A successful participant in the scene for many years, Kontal is a new moniker for this artist whose music reaches a fresh new forte. These two talented artists are welcomed & hosted by Mario Berger. Mario’s sets are a blend of major influences of artists like James Ruskin, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood or Luke Slater and labels like Underground Resistance, Downwards, Basic Channel and Tresor Records. Mario is also one of the curators of the Tresor New Faces nights. With Alex Kowalski, mostly under his d_func moniker, Mario is having an ongoing studio collaboration which has been resulting in releases and remixes on different labels, such as Torque, Paranoid Dancer, Damage Music and others.
