Tresor New Faces

John H has been DJing, as well as producing tracks, since the late 90s, with early musical influences spanning across a wide range of genres, from Swedish techno to IDM, Cologne acid craziness and the sound of Chicago house trax. The musical output of his DJ-sets usually varies between deep house, minimal or techno, depending on the time and location. On rare occasions during the summer you might also find him spinning dub-tech, tech-house and/or ambient in some haunting Swedish forest in the middle of nowhere. In 2013 John H founded the record label Event Horizon with good friend and music collaborator Mathias Eriksson aka M.E.E.O, which led to the release of their first two EPs. Melvin van Pelt is Tahko, a creative DJ/producer with a huge goal in life. After a brief adventure as a singer in a metal band, Melvin hit the club circuit. As a real “career tiger” he worked his way up from glass threader to bartender to club photographer. From his experiences in the nightlife the interest in dance music and techno in particular grew. Although he only started performing quite recently, Tahko left a significant impression in the Amsterdam scene. ThuisHaven, Lazy Sundays, Crossovers and Klamme Handjes are just a few parties where his infectious enthusiasm has left the crowd wanting more. At this moment producing music is gaining his interest again and Tahko was invited to release on starting deep house label midi8or. He is set to release a remix for PatriceVanDenBerg and will also release his first EP soon, titled “Musical Journey EP”. Our respected house techno artist with a reputation for a rocking DJ set, Esther Duijn welcomes and hosts these two invited DJs tonight.
