Matthew Lush is a Melbourne born DJ currently based in Berlin. Since the mid-90s Matt Lush has been a connoisseur of electronic music. moving to Sydney Matt quickly found his place in the local scene, most recently being inducted as a resident deejay for the flagship Australian techno label, Nightime Drama. During his time in Sydney, Matthew Lush has hosted and played alongside DJs and live acts such as Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Derrick May, Dasha Rush, Kangding Ray, Answer Code Request, Ø [Phase], Darko Esser, Bas Mooy, Developer as well as playing at outdoor festivals including Subsonic, Psyfari Music Festival, as well as countless local warehouse and club gigs. With her main focus on deep old school techno Filiz has lately been focussing on finding records released on labels around München, Köln, Frankfurt and Berlin in the 90s. When it comes to these records, the combination of harder elements with complex melodies and trance like atmospheres is what appeals to her the most. She also found these elements in a newer interpretation of Detroit Techno called “Neo-Detroit” that emerged around the year 2000. Our dynamic basement resident Mareena is a welcoming host for these new faces and provides a kickin techno set herself.
