Tresor New Faces w/ Kaltes
Wed 19 February 2020 - 23:59

Artist Lara Palmer is an artist from Berlin who is part of the Monument crew. From her passionate Soundcloud sessions we definitely get the notion that she will surely let her dynamic shine on the Tresor decks. Berlin-based from Sweden, madwoman plays high energy obscure and psychedelic industrial techno, being nothing but a vessel for those really low and heavy frequencies, guiding you through your own journey on the dance floor. Her style is seen as obscure and influenced by her background as organist and piano player in the classical field. Informed by many different disciplines and genres, Madwoman is armed with a track selection of hypnotic and high energy 130-145 bmp industrial sounds, inviting her audience to enter their rawest mode on the dance floor. Her aim is to guide the crowd on a journey together where she can introduce new sounds and new ways of experiencing techno by entering unknown territory. Tresor resident and female:pressure artist Kaltès is a musician, DJ and curator living between Berlin, having been hosting the female:pressure nights in our home for quite some time. She has an extensive background in music and studied jazz and improvisation in Brussels, before giving in Berlin’s darkest shade of techno. Kaltès’ versatility as a DJ and producer has grown over the years to harder-hitting techno, infused with her unique sense. Her skill and depth across all her musical activities prove that “light doesn’t shine without darkness”, as one critic put. Kaltès is equally at ease building romantic, heady soundscapes as well as infamous techno.
