Tresor pres. 10 Years No Way Back
Fri 09 March 2018 - 23:59

“We are trying to create a ritual space for personal exploration, to release basic tension. The form that society is forcing you to hold, you can release that. It lets you experience that yourself, as yourself, raw, and to connect to the music and reconnect to life. At a place removed from time. The amorphous space, the cave like atmosphere. This ancient psychedelic ritual, that removes you from the loop of the earth, it removes you from time.”  BMG

No Way Back is not a festival, it is not an event – it is a party. What began in an abandoned Detroit building with a leaky roof and an audiophile sound system has now moved to the entirely legal (the bar goes til 2 and reopens at 7) historic Tangent Gallery. Bounded by Grand Blvd, Oakland, Milwaukee and the last remaining part of Hastings Street, the venue could not be more in the center of Detroit music history. Every DJ chosen to play at No Way Back is a master of their medium, so deep in it that they all serve as constant inspirations. This is a celebration of the lost art of the late night Midwestern DJ. This is what makes the collaboration between Interdimensional Transmissions and The Bunker so effortless, as they are both eternal champions of this. This will be the first proper No Way Back in Berlin. They are bringing the parachutes and all the tactile surreal textures from Detroit, along with their installation artist Amber. Globus will appear like it never has before, fully transformed into the No Way Back feeling, spacial dynamics and room flow will be altered. Tresor will also have some transformational elements… come get lost in the sound.

This remarkable collaboration of intense talent is expressed tonight in conjunction with the celebration of Tresor Club’s 27 Years on this techno planet, and No Way Back has beamed up direct to the decks a formidable line-up: Bunker’s Bryan Kasenic, Patrick Russell and Mark Vebos who kicks in a live set; and Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions masters Carlos Souffront, BMG, Erika and Derek Plaslaiko. Run, don’t walk to this event – it’s time to rejoice with us in Tresor’s 27 Years, the Tresor Club premier of No Way Back and the timely connection that joins us.
