Construct Re-Form founder and Tresor Records artist Zadig should be proud: tonight he brings his label’s 5 year celebration to Tresor, with further dates in various European venues. Tonight’s invited guests for a dynamic night of dancing: Boris Bunnik is Conforce, a restless producer from Terschelling, Holland, who is forever keen to search out new techniques, tools and sounds for the various musical projects in which he is involved. One of these is Versalife, his moniker for advanced and futuristic electro. Under his many aliases he continually flirting with a range of genres like dub, techno and house on numerous EP’s and LP’s, Conforce also operates in sonic territory that has no easily identifiable name on labels like Rush Hour, Clone, Frustrated Funk or Delsin (where he released his June 2015 deep & dubby “Presentism” full-length), and his own experimental electronic label Transcendent. Antigone is a young artist whose work is at the “avant-garde” of the French techno scene. Educated to digging since his childhood in the Synchrophone’s records racks, he is open to a wide spectrum even if he is resolutely techno. Thanks to his Forbidden Work EP on Construct Re-Form, this brilliant producer was quickly noticed by some Parisian promoters. Johannes Volk is a producer, DJ and also label owner of Exploration Records, and whose sets combine an open minded, raw and hypnotic techno sound. His first record was released on none other than Jeff Mills’s Axis Records in 2006, followed by a series of vinyl releases on other labels including Patrice Scott’s Sistrum and Steffi’s Dolly imprint. As a DJ, Johannes’s depth of knowledge and ear for a groove is rivaled by few. Rock solid support is from our resident Mareena. Downstairs in Tresor: Benoit Legrain is Fareed from Paris, whose terrific Pausis EP has just been released on Contruct Re-Form. Joining the label’s 5 year celebration parties around Europe, we welcome him to our decks. Along with a set from Zadig, Tresor Records artist Marcelus joins, a DJ & producer from Paris, owner of Singular Records and a mixing master behind the Tresor decks. Marcelus‘ sets are consistently futuristic, arresting and always textural, and he is also releases on DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted. Simon Coup aka Birth Of Frequency is a Paris-based artist also from Zadig’s Construct Re-Form group, who fans remember from former label nights. With sets that border on driving-to-frantic rhythms or tantalizing hugeness, this rather secretive artist is perfect for the basement turntables.
