For this Mayday 2015: PoleGroup is a record label, booking agency & label management, started in 2004 by Oscar Mulero with its flagship in his home country of Spain. Perc Trax is a London label run by Perc, releasing deep tech house to driving techno. Both of these cutting-edge imprints are no strangers to the Tresor and Globus decks and tonight they’ve assembled some excellent envoys for the party. From Manchester, UK, Andro (aka Andrew Bowen) & Dimit (aka Dimitri Poumplidis) are AnD, a DJ and producer duo who can whip up a smashing live performance of very heady techno full of multi-layered sounds that often sprint towards the industrial park of techno electronica. Kwartz is a DJ and producer from Madrid who started his career in the world of techno in 2011, when he started creating his first characteristic productions: hypnotic, dark and enveloping. That same year he published his first EP with Main Concept and, since then, a multitude of his works have been released by labels such as Shapeless Records, Sonntag Morgen or ATT Series, amongst others, culminating in his joining the PoleGroup family of artists. In a short time, North Londoner Randomer has built up a small but heavy hitting catalogue of work – releasing ‘Brunk’ (on Hessle Audio’s 116 & Rising compilation), the acid tinged ‘Obtuse’ and most recently his dance mania-on-steroids EP for Numbers, ‘Real Talk’.” His debut for Hemlock Recordings found him taking things even further back to basics, dropping two heavyweight trax of pure beats and bassline indulgence. With more uncompromising raw cuts to follow this year Randomer is set to redefine the boundaries of House, Techno and Jungle. Tensal is a new project of Hector Sandoval (50%% of Exium), based on cyclic lines and vintage synthesizers. Big roomy, stomping to very effective minimal techno, the underground sound of Spain. On the Globus decks: When they first met in 2009, Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff connected through their shared love of Detroit techno. They found their musical equal, which six years down the line resulted in a highly regarded techno imprint that they run together: Indigo Aera recordings. Influenced by the sounds of Amsterdam based labels like Delsin and Rushhour, this young duo is a force to watch. The delectable house sounds of our Globus resident Handmade perfectly bookend this excellent Globus program.
