In 1991 only a matter of months after Tresor Club opened its underground doors, the club founders decided to bring some of the new sounds coming out of Detroit to Berlin and along with German innovators in the genre, founded the club’s own record label – Tresor Records. Now 25 years later the label is more prolific than ever, and just as daring and cutting-edge in the pursuit of electronic music frontiers. For PART II of the celebration of the label’s 25th birthday, we turn our attention to these very pioneers whose zeal was unrelenting and took the world by storm with its vanguard sound on our label and many others. In Globus we welcome back Moritz von Oswald, from the legendary aliases Basic Channel, Maurizio, 2MB, 3MB and many more. Since Rene Löwe’s first involvement in music production resulted in “Vainqueur – Lyot” becoming a benchmark in electronic music, all the way to his present projects Substance & Vanqueur and as in tonight’s program, Scion w/ Tikiman. Kern Space Adventures is Zadig’s side project of intergalactic heady fusion of house and techno styles on Syncrophone. In Tresor: Scan 7 is a mysterious techno collective in Detroit consisting of seven artists. The group always wears masks when performing. Those who remember their now-legendary Tresor basement sets know that this is the revolutionary soul of Detroit techno and the deeply set roots. Alongside Scan 7 we welcome another giant of the genre and Detroit underground visionary DJ T-1000 aka Alan Oldham. Staying in the underground we also are excited about the return of the mysterious DisX3 who only those in the know will recognize and those who do not can just simply remain astounded. We also welcome back budding Austrian talent Claudia Anderson, who has produced several stellar releases on Marcelus’ Singular Records.
