TRESOR RECORDS. 26 YEARS. PART I
Fri 06 October 2017 - 23:59

In 1991 shortly after Tresor Club opened its underground doors, the club founders decided to bring some of the new sounds coming out of Detroit to Berlin and along with German innovators in the genre, founded the club’s own record label – Tresor Records. Now 26 years later our label continues to be as prolific as ever, and just as daring and cutting-edge in the pursuit of electronic music frontiers. In order to remain in the fold and maintain the strength of the genre, new and progressive talent is the key, and the releases over the last few years have reflected the determined influx of creativity from outstanding international artists. Some of these newer trailblazers as well as veteran label family members are here to celebrate 26 years of Tresor Records tonight, and those who know their releases, will confirm their importance to the label and to the world of house and techno itself: In Globus, sound project and live performance by German producers Thomas Köner & Andy Mellwig aka Porter Ricks, whose Tresor.295 “Anguilla Electrica” album this year is still being lauded by fans; veteran label artist Vainqueur; and kicken’ club residents Marcel Heese and Handmade. The Tresor Floor features excellent new Tresor architects Zadig and Marcelus from Paris as well as our bangin’ resident Mario Berger, opened by a smashing set by our resident Mischa.

Happy Birthday Tresor Records!!
