Tonight the American label Modularz takes over our entire house, celebrating it’s 10th anniversary. Symmetrical Behaviour is Francesco Visconti aka VSK and Conrad Van Orton aka CVO. Exactly one year after the last set in our home, this DJ and producer duo is set to deliver a blistering live set as Symmetrical Behaviour tonight. Signing onto Soma in 2018, this is certainly an avenue for more advanced sounds that we can above all take in with excitement. With artistic involvement all over the board so you should expect the highest in break-through, inventive sonic delivery. Returning artist and Modularz founder Developer is one of a few active DJ/Producers that emerged from the Los Angeles techno scene in the early 1990’s. After ending his residency as a DJ on radio station 88.7FM kspc in 1995, Developer co-founded and managed the first dedicated techno distribution company on the west coast “Entity Music Distribution”. Developer gained much of his acclaim and extensive performance history from his strong marathon sets and quick programming skills as well as the ability of playing 50 tracks per hour on 3 turntables with effect processor and sampler. Developer continues to thrive as one of the most interesting techno mixmasters from the Americas as well as the birth of his label Moduarz which features productions and remixes from some of his early contemporaries in Los Angeles as well as a few established and emerging talents from around the world. Roll Dann is a DJ & Producer from Madrid. With only a few releases under his belt, AINE from Pole Group and 2 records on Modularz, the young producer quickly caught the SOMA team´s ears with his style. For three years he was located in Berlin, and afterwards Roll Dann returned to Spain to set up his own professional studio. There he now invests all of his time, dedicating himself fully to the construction of his sophisticated Techno point of view. Patrik Carrera is an artist with an astute approach to composition and sound firmly rooted in the analog domain. His fascination and fixation with vintage and modern analog electronics are the foundation of his continually evolving process suited to his impulsive and experimental nature, documenting temporal analog expressions in their purest form in each studio recording and ventures into improvised live performance. Carrera’s music has been published on many top international labels. Growing up in Sydney to parents from Ecuador and Germany, Patrik Carrera relocated to Germany where his steadfast artistic endeavour are based out of Berlin. In Globus: we welcome a live set from Modularz artist from Kiev Rhomb, who has released two works on the label: Modularz 15 and Modularz 10. With more than 16 years experience producing and playing the purest form of techno around Spain and Europe, Eduardo De La Calle is still one of the best kept secret in electronic music. Eduardo has worked with many international labels sand is now preparing a new live show with special visuals and tracks created especially for the show, as well as releasing new material on his label Analog Solutions Rec with limited edition of 200 copies already available in the shops: Detroit-influenced, chord-driven tracks based around the art of sampling using mainly analog gear. Returning artist Juxta Position is an artist in Berlin who produced the second release on Mistress Recordings, “Juxta Position Vol 1”, which included the hit track “Mercy”. He has releases on other labels such as Rhythm Nation, Failsafe and Modularz, where he released his 2017 “Approaching Singularity” EP. Modularz artist CNCPT is an Italian born, Berlin-based producer who has previously recorded on Brenda Records Germany. CNCPT contributed the first track “New Science and Telekinesis” on Modularz 10th anniversary compilation “WAV10-95” last February 2019. CNCPT’s 2016 “Foreign Drum Sequences EP” delivers a straight up percussion and synth fused techno EP welding together live drum programming, complex synth sequences and cutting edge rhythms that are made for the warehouse or dance club.
