On the Tresor Floor we welcome back Danish artist Troels Knudsen aka Ctrls. Knudsen is still one of those producers with 90s tendencies, when the electronic music field was a bit more inclusive and open in dealing with genres and musical styles – expressed above all in a yard long list of aliases. Knudsen has been a drum’n’bass producer (Pyro), house music (2400 operator, including on Underground Quality), and an industrial techno artist (Northern Structures on Sonic Groove) who deserves his spot on the one of best labels of the genre. Ctrls, his latest horse, aligns itself with a futuristic techno base and from there explores surrounding style configurations. He found his ideal home for the project in the illustrious circle of the Token posse. A live set by Greek artist JUDA∑ will supply our fans with a touch of the mysterious, a dive into the unknown, a treat for those who relish the surprise of techno. Hard-driven support comes from frequent basement techno guest Marcus and our resident Reka. In the +4Bar: Sander Baan, born in the Netherlands and now living in Berlin, is known for his long-hour sets. Sander has developed his own unique and versatile blend of sexy, stripped-down house and techno. Co-founding Phonocult Records and sponsoring the Rotate nights in Berlin, he is a popular DJ both on the dancefloor at peak times and at after hours. Tonight’s Deep in it showcase brings the two founders of Melisma Records; Chilean-born Felipe Valenzuela and Dani Casarano from Switzerland came up with a deep avant-garde sound, which has positioned them in charts of artists as important as Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos, among others. From Felipe’s unique brand of melodious and elegant techno to Dani’s uniquely individual sound with a touch of pure emotive soul and sullen mystery, these are two enthusiastic artists to experience tonight.
