Swedish mysterious DJ and producer Varg is from Abdulla Rashim’s Northern Electronics bandcamp and the first artist to release on the label with his 2013 EP “Misantropen”. The very unconventional sounds of Varg switch from heated to ambient, from melancholy to highly experimental and downright industrial. Needless to say, his dark and moody style is a perfect fit for the Tresor basement and lovers of unique and extraordinary techno should be there. Label mate Acronym joins in the deep space tendencies of the night, filling the dense cement walls of the basement with the intensity of his relentless, cutting-edge sounds, so brilliantly explored in his Dimensional Exploration series last year. Combine this with Behzad & Amarou’s no-nonsense techno plus very intelligent techno beats from excellent Tresor resident Mike Dehnert and you’ve got a basement magic carpet ride Friday. This French duo’s “Textures” release on the Paris active club/label Concrete is a creative masterpiece and we’re excited about their energetic and diverse set tonight. The +4Bar sees the Berlin outfit Even Drones who in spite of not publishing an official biography, have made their two releases “One” and “Two” available for listening on several platforms. The very deep, melodic, at times dubby and minimal, the live deliverance will be decisive and more than exciting – we say a resounding YES. A Hong Kong native living in Chicago since ’81 whose humble beginnings in electronic music grew exponentially with the discovery of house music, Steven Tang rose in the circuit to eventually play at the distiguished DEMF festival in Detroit. Now sought after at top international clubs and events, he finished a full length LP for Hamburg’s Smallville label and continues on an exhaustive tour schedule. Austrian DJ Oliver Kargl aka RNDM moved to Berlin in 2007 and has been collaborating with Efdemin on their Pigon project, fine tuning his producing-side of his vocation. Richard Zepezauer has been active in the Berlin underground dance music scene for quite a bit time now. Worked for the electronic label Scape, inventing special music nights like Sun Ra Tribute together with Mike Huckaby and then beginning the label n s y d e. Always trying to focus on bringing forward the timeless quality of the music, chameleon Richard Zepezauer transforms as a DJ , writing for music magazines, organizing parties with an innovative claim.
