In the last few years Argentinian Jonas Kopp has gained and produced a first-rate reputation. His discography is spread out not only on top labels like Deeply Rooted House, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Spectral Sound, CLR, Ilian Tape and Pfirter‘s MindTrip – where he made his debut – and stylistically he allows himself multiple diversions as a techno producer. This palette reaches from driving techno to warm Chicago-ish tune to ambient tracks that found themselves this year on the Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape label. On top of all this are his side projects like Untidy, that haven’t even been counted. His connection to Tresor, where he has regularly played over the last few years, is hereby cemented with the release of his first full-length album on Tresor Records: “Beyond The Hypnosis“. The Kopp-ish functionality of the accompanying EP creates a 3 X LP format that unleashes a free-flowing approach to structure, in contrast to Kopp‘s tightly-wrapped benchmark trippy hypnotic 12″s. Tonight we celebrate the album’s release with Kopp‘s discoverer Pfirter and J.C. Meanwhile in the +4Bar the label Neovinyl activates itself. For the last 5 years the Spaniards have been cultivating their effortless style of deeper tech-house shadows. As top attraction this time they’ve brought along a fresh live set from label head Carlo. As for the DJs on the decks you can count on Maik Yells, Black Loops and Sello.
“Beyond The Hypnosis” LP is released on November 10th: the album single “Red Plented” on November 3rd – both on Tresor Records here.
