Skudge. Let’s remember: 2009/10 the Swedish duo peeked around the corner with their first production and wham! – shortly thereafter in the techno world. Something about this no-bullshit-techno, mostly on their own label, felt damn right for a damn huge amount of people and the result: instant fan following. Aside from the perfectly punk-infused tracks and remixes, the hardware intensive live sets brought Skudge notoriety. And so tonight the pleasure is in Globus, and although some may wish it was in the basement, the Skudge pendulum between house and techno allows for enough wiggle room. Add to this Denmark’s echolord of Echochord Kenneth Christiansen, one of the worldwide musical curators of the Basic Channel/Chain Reaction axis; as well as Tresor regular guest Esther Duijn and resident DJ Mareena.
The basement is in just as solid Swedish hands as its sister floor 1 ½ floors above – from start to finish. With Joel Mull and Patrick Siech we welcome two of our liebling Drumcode artists behind the Tresor DJ booth bars and so with a general peace of mind on the floor. Fellow Swede and We Are label owner Patrick Skoog aka Agaric returns to the harder techno regions of his talent spectrum after having left a spellbinding memory of his debut analog live set in Globus a few months ago. Skål!
