With their regular “Machine” night, Kirk Degiorgio and Ben Sims have toughened London’s techno scene since 2011. Meant to be somewhat different, the focus moreover towards the full support of new music. The ideal concept for this was built around the option of guest and resident DJs playing tracks that are no more than one year old. In this way future classics could be discovered, unreleased material revealed, getting rid of the rigidness of strict expectation – all of which creates an openness on the dancefloor as well as behind the decks. No wonder that in no time at all it became clear that the Machine parties and their reputation should not be unique to the London scene. After presenting the night in Holland, Spain and Ireland, Tresor Club is proud to present the first Machine Night in Germany! As comrade-in-arms with Sims and Degiorgio, Tresor artist and club resident Marcelus is a perfect match. The supposedly existing Funktion One guillotine for punishing DJs who dare to play a yet-to-be-released Corsica Studios track before the 1st of August will stay in the studios but our man with of course abide by the concept. Will be exciting! On the Globus Floor we welcome Holland’s godfather of house Gerd. Since 1991 in the business, the man has selected and produced straight in the hearts of a dance generation, in the past in cooperation with, among others, Larry Heard, Romanthony and MK. In the recent past his aliases NY Stomp and Geeeman, as well as his 4lux label have created some fresh furor. Last year the forementioned label released a remix by the good friend of our house Quell – Nikolas Raptis, who is of course on the decks tonight as well. Add to the line-up our excellent residentina Magda El Bayoumi and Upon. You’s Emerson Todd.
***** We are sorry to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, Ben Sims is unable to play Machine tonight. He is replaced by James Ruskin. We are already working on a replacement date *****
