Swiss DJ and producer NVST emerged from Lausanne’s free party and illegal rave circuits, a background that continues to shape her physical, high-tension approach to club music. Her sets move through breakbeat, techno, acid and industrial without settling, driven by a sharp sense of structure and rupture, where intensity builds, collapses and reconfigures in real time. Rather than navigating genres, NVST works the dancefloor as a space of friction and release, balancing precision with instability.
This approach has taken her from underground scenes to major international platforms, with performances at venues and festivals including Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Dekmantel, Horst Arts & Music, Positive Education, Rewire, Rural, MUTEK Montréal and Montreux Jazz Festival. Having toured extensively across Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America, she continues to expand a practice that moves between club culture, festivals and experimental arts contexts.
She holds a residency at C12 in Brussels and is part of the extended Tresor family in Berlin, while maintaining a regular presence on the airwaves through residencies on Kiosk Radio and Rinse FM. Her relationship with Tresor continues with the announcement of her forthcoming EP Godspeed, marking a new chapter in an ongoing connection with the legendary Berlin label.
Alongside her DJ practice, NVST has developed a body of recorded work across multiple formats, with solo and alias releases on labels including Tresor, Dekmantel, Fabric Records, SSPB, Les Disques Magnétiques and Maloca. Her productions reflect the same tension as her sets, combining raw rhythmic structures with a controlled sense of space and progression.
In parallel, she has been progressively moving toward live and hybrid formats. Through projects such as Drift Institute and Sixsixsevenfortyseven, she explores audiovisual performance as an extension of her club work. This trajectory is now culminating in her first solo live show, developed in collaboration with visual artist Mika Oki, which they will present at Bozar in Brussels in November 2026. The project extends her practice beyond the DJ booth, opening up new ways of shaping sound, space and perception.
Beyond her own releases and performances, NVST co-runs Big Science with Warzou, a label and sound experimentation platform dedicated to the more radical fringes of electronic music. The project extends the same DIY ethos that runs through her broader practice, creating space for exploratory and uncompromising approaches to sound.
Across club performances, recorded work, broadcasts, label activity and live formats, NVST has built a practice rooted in DIY culture while continuously pushing toward more complex and immersive forms, maintaining an uncompromising and fiercely independent vision of electronic music.
